Becoming "bilingual"

Cric! Crac! Croc! Growing up reading our Rice Krispies boxes every morning gives us Canadians our own brand of bilingualism. As an anglophone, my confidence that my franglais-labelese will get me out of a tight confiture in Paris or Montreal is distinctly lacking. Some things are more than lost in translation. Then again, some things are found.
